Hayley Kidd Photography, About Me

I am a young and enthusiastic Lincolnshire-based photographer with an ever-increasing photographic portfolio. I love learning new techniques and processes, which allow different portrayals of images. I enjoy trying new things and learning varied styles of work to broaden my knowledge and skills.

Photography has always been my passion and focus, which has grown from recreation to ambition. I undertook an AVCE in Media Studies at Grimsby College. One of the core subjects was photography, which I specialised in, due to my prominent artistic and creative flair.

Upon successful competition of this course, I have continued to progress my experience in photography, whilst developing my individual pictorial style. I am in the process of obtaining my degree, which will give me further exposure to enhancing my skills.

During summer 2008 I was fortunate enough to be involved in some exciting projects. I was asked to aid my friend Liz at Pink Feet Photography in several wedding assignments. This proved further invaluable experience in 'real world' photography.

I was personally approached by Grimsby based marketing agency BlueInkAgency.com to undertake a freelance project photographing the launch of the Vivienne Westwood store in York. The resulting imagery was featured in Yorkshire monthly publication 'Pukka Magazine' which included the front-page image.

In addition, I was invited to support BlueInkAgency.comís in-house renowned and globally published photographer Dean Sherwood for the final of the national competition 'Last Band Standing'. This was hosted by fashion label Nicholas Deakins and provided the opportunity to shoot live photography and allowed me to advance my live image capture skills.
